LINDSAY HEJTMANEK - SOFTBALL PITCHING INSTRUCTOR
Coaching / Organizational Experience:
- Head Varsity Softball Coach for Oswego High School since 2008
- Co-Founded the Oswego Outlaws Traveling Softball Program for ages 10U - 16U in 2007
- Organized various softball skills caps through the Oswegoland Park District and Oswego High School
- Co-Freshman Softball Coach for Oswego High Schoool in 2007
- Pitching Coach for West Aurora High School in 2006
- Coached Private/Group pitching lessons since 2000
Education / Teaching Experience:
- Currently teaches elementary school in the Oswego School District (since 2005)
- Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Education (2004) and earned a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene University (2008).
- Attended Yorkville High School in Yorkville, IL
Playing Experience:
- Two year starter for Waubonsee Community College in Softball (2000-2002)
- Voted to an All Tournament Team, Most Improved Athlete of the Year, Top 5 Pitchers to Watch in the Conference, and All-Area Academic Team.
- Played on Northern Illinois Thunder 18U Softball Team
- Recruited to and played on the Lisle Slammers 16U Softball Team.
- Played Softball for four years at Yorkville High School
- Received private pitching lessons from ages 12-19 from Diana Fulfer, as well as attended numerous sessions at Robin Voss' All-American Softball Clinic
Additional Background:
- Lindsay isvery excited to begin a partnership with ESP. She comes froom a strong family background in coaching.
- Her father (Dave) has coached wrestling and baseball at West Aurora High School for over 36 years and was selected as an Assistant Coach of the Year by the IWCOA.
- Her mother (Becky) was the first Softball Coach at Oswego High School taking her team to the Sweet Sixteen, which was the first one in the gilrs' sports history. She has always had a passion for sports and has been a long time physical education teacher in the Oswego School District.
- Her Grandfather, the legendary John McDougal coached high school and college baskeball for over 40 years and has been named to numerous Hall of Fames.
- The strong coaching bloodlines have guided Lindsay to find her passion of teaching softball to young girls and using the field of sports to guide them through life's lessons.
